       "Children of the Storm" presents a children survivor's point of view of the Hurricane Katrina disaster

t The next day:  coping with the total devastation of the Gulf Coast.
t A child's ride on a makeshift boat from his home to the New Orleans
       Superdome, five feet of water, a dead body, and terror.
t The children's stories:  in a tree for three hours; the death of a brother; 
       a family moves to the second floor and the water is still rising;
       the mold and illness;  cats, dogs and animals lost
t Second Street Elementary - A historical landmark no longer will provide
       a space for teaching other than being an example of nature's 
       devastating consequences.
